This page is still under development.....
Check back soon for some update to this page - and don't worry, we're not going mad putting little boxes on the page that say "I am an Image",
there'll be a few pictures on the page soon. We're just getting ready, so keep your eyes on us ! .
Stafford Apex SC exists to promote and teach competitive swimming in a wide range of formats and events, and to a diverse
range of club members. The club is supported by Stafford Borough Council, and is based at the Riverside Centre located off
North Walls in Stafford, and we now boast over 200 members - not bad considering we had 20 or so in 1980, just a few years
after the club formed.
The club has evolved with time - as all clubs must - but times really are a-changing at the moment within the club.
No doubt the biggest change is just around the corner.....we are very shortly going to relocate to a brand new leisure centre, just a few hundred yards
away at Lammascote Road - as promised, training will commence at the new centre week commencing 7th April 2008 and those "lucky few" who have been inside the complex
have all commented how good it's looking!
We've got a copy of the floor plans for the new premises - thanks to the architects, and in particular Ray Barnett, Partner at Barnett Ratcliffe Partnership

CHILD SAFETY ISSUES......
We have recently had an incident whereby one of our junior swimmers has been dropped off at Riverside for training,
but got out early and went out of the premises without informing any member of coaching staff (or other responsible person)....
The parent/guardian of the child concerned was not aware....fortunately for everybody the child in question was quite safe
The Welcome Pack which everyone has now seen or been issued with has a section under 'General Information - Child Protection'... from which this is an extract...
'Please ensure that your child knows who is transporting them to and from their training sessions and someone with responsibility for your child must be at the training venue during their session.'
Without laboring the issue overly, the club cannot take responsibility for the whereabouts of all swimmers, and this is why we must insist
that a responsible person remains at the centre for the duration of all training sessions. Child safety is of paramount importance, so please help do your bit to keep your swimmers safe. Thanks.
